In 2007, Fisher Investments, a multi-billion money management firm based in Woodside, California, cemented a Fisher Investments Germany presence with an approximately fifty percent acquisition of a German asset management company founded by Thomas Gruener in 1999.

The newly affiliated Fisher Investments Germany company was renamed Gruener Fisher Investments GmbH and services investors in Germany. To Fisher Investments, Germany is an ideal extension into Europe as one of the largest markets outside of the US for high net worth individuals.
